Abstract | This is a data set of suspended and dissolved radiocesium concentrations in 137Cs and 134Cs in river water located within the 80km radius from TEPCO's Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, measured by Fukushima Prefectural Centre for Environmental Creation. The water samples were collected at 34 river monitoring sites more than twice a year. After the samples were separated by the nonwoven fabric cartridge filters (SS-C) with pore size 1µm and the membrane filters with pore size 0.45 µm, or quantitative filter paper No.5B with pore size 4µm and the membrane filters with pore size 0.45 µm, the concentrations of suspended 134Cs and 137Cs on the filters were measured with a germanium semiconductor detector. Also, after the filtrated water was absorbed by the cation exchange resin, or the cartridge filter incorporating a nonwoven fabric impregnated with Prussian blue copper analog (Cu-C), or Empore TM Cesium Rad Disk, the concentrations of dissolved 134Cs and 137Cs in the media were measured with a germanium semiconductor detector.
