| Abstract | Vertical distribution of radiocesium (Cs-134 and Cs-137) concentration in litter and soil layers was investigated in mixed forest from 2011 to 2021 in Kawamata town, Fukushima Prefecture. Soil samples were collected using a scraper plate and a metal frame with a sampling area of 450 cm2 (15 cm×30 cm). The soil samples were taken in 5 mm increments between 0 and 5 cm, 1.0 cm increments between 5 and 10 cm, and 5.0 cm increments between 10 and 20 cm by scraping from the surface little by little. Each samples were air-dried, passed through a 2-mm sieve and visible roots were hand- picked before analyses. In 2019, the removal of litter layers was conducted as decontamination works in this site. The total record number of sample is 199. Detailed sampling and measurement methods and some of the dataset have been reported in Takahashi et al.(2019). | |
