AbstractVertical distribution of radiocesium (Cs-134 and Cs-137) concentration in litter and soil layers was investigated in young cedar forest from 2011 to 2023 in Kawamata Town, Fukushima Prefecture. Soil samples were collected using a scraper plate and a metal frame with a sampling area of 450 cm2 (15 cm×30 cm). The soil samples were taken in 5 mm increments between 0 and 5 cm, 1.0 cm increments between 5 and 10 cm, and 5.0 cm increments between 10 and 20 cm by scraping from the surface little by little. Each samples were air-dried, passed through a 2-mm sieve and visible roots were hand- picked before analyses. The total record number of sample is 275. Detailed sampling and measurement methods and some of the dataset have been reported in Takahashi et al.(2019).
