AbstractThis dataset includes ¹³⁷Cs concentration in fish species inhabiting Lake Vorsee in southern Germany, which was affected by the Chernobyl accident.

Altogether, 638 samples of different fish species from Lake Vorsee were analyzed using gamma spectrometry during the years 1986-2016. The fish samples were delivered by the Kreisfischereiverein Ravensburg (district fishing association), primarily during October and November. The fish, without head and fins (up to a fish length of 15 cm) or only muscle tissue (for fish with a length of more than 15 cm), were chopped and analyzed by gamma spectrometry. For very small fish, several individuals were occasionally combined into one sample. Detailed processing methods and data are published in the papers listed below.
